Eudoro Grade completed his original musical studies at the Academy of Music in Lisbon, as well as his vocational professional skills as a musician at the Lisbon Higher School of Music under the direction and guidance of Piñero Nagy, having attended various national and international higher education guitar courses. As a musician, he performed throughout the country, whether in solo performances as well as in chamber and orchestra groups, some promoted by City Halls, the Ministry of Culture, Foundations, Associations and Cultural Centres. Throughout his career he has had the opportunity to play at the most important European Guitar Festivals in Spain, France, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, United Kingdom and Germany.
Eudoro Grade is a teacher at the Algarve Regional Conservatory Maria Campina, in Faro, at the Portimão Conservatory Joly Braga Santos and at the Regional Conservatory of Vila Real de Santo António. He is president of the Algarve Guitar Association, founder and coordinator of the cultural project Youth Guitar Orchestra of the Algarve. He associates his name, as Artistic Director, to the International Guitar Festival of Lagoa and to the International Guitar Festival of Faro. He is one of the members of the Concordis Guitar Quartet and is part of the "Guirimbadu" guitar and marimba project. His discography is composed of four CDs so far: Guitar; Sounds of Memory; Latin Way and Christmas Songs.
Concordis Quartet was created in 2005 and has, in its current constitution, Eudoro Grade, João Nunes, Jorge Pires and Pedro Rufino. From the complicity between these musicians and from their personalities and varied influences, the timbre and sound beauty emerges as a tonic that the four guitars provide together.
We can't only look to what's within our reach, the form and conscience of it's matter. A simple musical instrument may lock inside it not only the spirit of the artist, but of the whole race, the whole era or mythical period.
